Who we are
Marvelous Beauty Spa & Hairstyle ("we", "us") is a beauty salon at 377 Imam Haron Road, Shop 11, Lansdowne 7780, Cape Town. We are the responsible party for personal information you share with us.
What information we collect
- When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email: your name, phone number and the details you choose to share (such as the treatment and time you'd like).
- When you visit: information relevant to your treatment, such as allergies or skin sensitivities you tell us about, so we can treat you safely.
- The booking form on this website: if you choose "Send on WhatsApp", the form only writes a WhatsApp message on your own device, which you choose whether to send. When online booking is switched on, the details you enter (name, phone number, email, treatment, preferred date and time, and notes) will be emailed to us through our form provider, Web3Forms, so we can arrange your appointment. They are not stored in a database on this website.
How we use it
- To confirm, change or remind you about appointments
- To provide your treatment safely and give you aftercare advice
- To answer your questions
We don't sell your information, and we don't send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Photos
We only publish photos of our work with the client's consent, and we never publish a photo showing your face without your permission. If you'd like a photo of your treatment removed from this website or our social media, contact us and we'll remove it.
Third-party services
- WhatsApp (Meta) handles messages you send us, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
- Google Maps is embedded on some pages to show our location. Google may set cookies or collect usage data when the map loads.
- Website hosting: our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide our services, or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your messages and details at any time.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete your information
- Object to us processing your information
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforeg.org.za) if you're unhappy with how we handle your information
